[EXHIBITION] Jeonghwa Choi: You are my home (2022.04.15-06.17)
Unkyung Old House is not open to the public except on special schedules such as exhibitions and conferences. Recently, an art exhibition was held here, and I was able to meet Unkyung Old House again.
Ungyeong Old House, located in Sajik-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, was the home of Ungyeong Lee Jae-hyeong, who served as the 12th Speaker of the National Assembly. Thanks to its location in the heart of Seoul, it served as a sarang room for politicians of the time. It consists of Haengnangchae, Sarangchae, and Anchae on a site of 300 appraisals. Compared to other hanoks in Bukchon, it is spacious enough to be incomparable. Due to its unique and elegant atmosphere, Unkyung Old House is loved as a filming location for numerous dramas and commercials.
The Unkyung Foundation opened the exhibition ‘Choi Jeong-hwa: You are My Home’ with world-renowned contemporary artist Choi Jeong-hwa.
